Subject : Kumite Championship
Question: Hey! Professor what do you think of the Kumite championships in the Van Damme movie Bloodsport? Some people say that is a real competition. Some say that there is no evidence that it exists. Do you have any information on that?
Reply: I know these bits and pieces of information I have gather though the years .
The Kumite did exist ,it was a series of four tournements in Jamacia and parts unknown where certain fighters were invited .
Frank Dux who was the creator of the movie made himself the star.
I know he train at TARZANA KARATE and he made green belt
if he made Black ,he did it somewhere else.
90% of the movie was fiction and just help his ego of a wanna be star.
Van Damm is just a actor from Belgium and martial artist, not a KICKBOXER OR WORLD CHAMPION HE HAS NEVER WON ANY MAJOR TITLES,
a actor can do anything with a camera ,remember that

Aloha,
The Professor
