Subject : Basic for Iaido
Question: Does one have to master Kendo or Kenjutsu before venturing to learn Iaido?

Aloha,
No ,three different arts ,all three are brothers but works the sword different ways .
However ,the Master would respect your knowledge more if you had prior Kendo training .Your foundation would be more secured and he would be able to start you off maybe a little ahead of the fundmentals, but remember with any martial art concerning weapons, the user must have kion and kime,
